My family was going through an incredibly difficult year - we'd lost our father to cancer and on the heels of that we had to move our mother into an LTC because of her Dementia. We needed to sell their home - the home my brother and I had grown up in and that my parents had lived in for 44+ years. That meant we had 44 years of life to empty from that home so we could then get it ready to sell. We were up against a wall and weren't sure what next steps were. We discussed our situation with Liz and based on that conversation we hired her and set about getting things done. She had outlined a to-market date for the house sale and put together a detailed plan to help us get to that date. She was very organized, had good connections for services we could use, and on top of all that, she rolled up her sleeves and helped us get everything done. It was no easy feat - it was long days and weekends, and she was there for us whenever we needed her, always with a positive outlook on making our market date, and always with an empathy for what we were going through emotionally. It was not an easy year for us, the worst in our lives, but Liz helped make the monumental task of readying the house for sale possible. She was always available by phone or text as well. Liz had contacts for painters, cleaners, estate sale services and stagers. All worked out great, as the house was emptied and prepped and staged. It looked fantastic and we hit our market date. She had scouted all the house sales in the area, and discussed at length with us where she thought we should be with our pricing and why (market trends, interest rate changes - everything was considered with the final pricing). There was another house in the neighbourhood that was readying to go up for sale at the same time, and Liz kept us informed about how it was looking, and where pricing would probably be so that we could be competitive. We set our price and got it out into the market. The showings all went very well, and Liz was in constant contact with us about feedback and any interest in the house. The house sold quickly, and again, Liz was very professional and efficient with everything we needed to do to finalize the sale. Breathing a huge sigh of relief, we could finally close out this chapter in our lives and we couldn't have made it without her. If you need to sell your house, contact Liz. But even more so, if you're in a similar situation as we were in, you need to have that conversation with Liz about your home and your needs, she will make all the difference for you and your family in getting your house sold.
